About the project
A wound specialist and vascular surgeon dispatched on assignment to the Baleveng hospital to train and support the local team, and primarily to investigate the possibility of an internet connection to continue providing support via telemedicine.- Vascular exploration and complementary examinations- Technical care and surgical acts- Practical training- Theory training- Assessing feasibility of internet access- Testing access to Domoplaies telemedicine platform using the dedicated smartphone app
Problem seeking to resolve: No scarring experts in country.
Proposed solution: Access to expertise in wounds and scarring. The initial training for the on-site team makes it better able to treat straightforward cases, and telemedicine provides support with more complex cases.
