Providing continuing education for healthcare-related human resources
Project start date : 01/01/2016
Beneficiary country : Ivory Coast Djibouti
About the project
Updated September 2023.
The aim of this education programme is to provide ongoing training for human resources in health (HRH), to improve the quality of patient care by interconnecting centres, to improve collaboration between practitioners and the general public, and to set up a National Data Centre at the INSP.
With more than 20,000 beneficiaries, the programme has expanded to include new learning modules enriched with self-assessment quizzes to track learners’ progress.
In addition, the organisation has developed a new “nutrition and diabetes in Africa” programme (international funding), a monthly master class for healthcare professionals, and a single interface (e-ncd.org) bringing together all the training courses, partners and tele-expertise.
Problem to solve: lack of human resources and limited knowledge of general practitioners about the treatment of diabetes.
The regular training channels cannot currently, nor in the short term, provide a response to this urgent situation.
