About the project

To access the service, populations must subscribe with their mobile phones via USSD syntax or send an SMS and they receive five (5) messages by SMS each week. The messages sent are prepared by the services of the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene in Cote d´Ivoire as well as the health organizations recognized by the said ministry.
This solution makes it possible to reach populations even in the most remote hamlets, without internet connection and with basic phones.


This initiative solves the lack of information and misinformation of populations on frequent pathologies and good health practices.


Alerte SMS e-Santé is a service which aims to inform, raise awareness and advise on good health practices via SMS and USSD. This service is carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene of Cote d´Ivoire and mobile operators.
