About the sponsor

LeDocta is a business that was created to help democratise medical information and provide medical advice with the objective of improving the doctor-patient relationship. On a continent where access to caregivers is limited and consultations are often quite short, we want to raise awareness, educate and advise, because we believe that, when it comes to health, information is the first medicine to take.

About the initiative

The absence of social security in French-speaking Africa forces patients to make choices based on finances. In practice, this leads them to ask many critical questions, such as, “Based on this symptom, where should I go?" and "Will getting this treated ruin us financially?” Furthermore, when leaving the hospital, patients do not always understand everything the doctor has explained. This platform allows us to raise awareness, educate, advise and, most importantly, provide guidance, serving as a compass so that the patient can enjoy better healthcare. is a public information platform designed to provide factual medical information that also takes into account African realities. The platform unites general practitioners and specialists working to provide information based on field experience and the socio-cultural and economic contexts. It is a platform for practical medical information and e-consultancy.
