About the initiative

The initiative is giving access to expert consultants /doctors distantly located via tele-conferencing.

The other major value of the project is that the community can have at-least 27 pathological test done free of cost. These test/parameters are linked online to the consulting physician that helps in diagnosis.

The objective is to provide quality and affordable healthcare from well qualified and experienced doctors of various specialties to the local community on Karchauna block in Hardoi District through telemedicine technology. Telemedecine allows to reach remote areas which prevent people to spend time and money on travelling over long distances for medical consultation.

Also, CREATE aims to develop a scalable and cost-effective tele-healthcare model, as well as an effective mechanism to monitor the day-to-day operational and implementation aspects of the intervention through a dash-board.

Patient walks in with or without a prior appointment. Clinic staff registers the patient and creates an electronic medical record if necessary. Afterward, patient’s basic vital parameters are taken and uploaded in the patient’s medical record. Doctor carries out remote consultation with the patient and updates the patient’s medical record (diagnosis, prescription and further tests, etc.). If further tests are needed, the required samples are collected for analysis. A clinic staff carries out medicine dispensing from the pharmacy as well as the signed prescription provided by the doctor in the electronic medical record of the patient.

In some cases, referrals may happen to higher levels of care, to the Nanavati Hospital.
